THE VILLAGE OF STOWE | AREA THINGS TO DO

Stowe, Vermont, settled in 1794, is a vibrant, sophisticated, year-round village surrounded by beautiful Vermont countryside and mountains. It is a charming community rich with culture and activity. When planning your visit to our area, be sure to set aside time to take in the sites and activites of the village. Stroll the brick lined sidewalks on Main Street, stop by the Visitor Center, explore the many interesting shops, lose yourself in an art gallery, relax at a spa, indulge in delicious food or a sweet treat, and so much more!

Looking for more Stowe history? Our Historical Society takes residence in the restored "West Branch Schoolhouse". Today it is one of the state's largest not-profit repository of books, letters, journals, maps, drawings, and photographs about Stowe, Vermont and Vermont history. For more information or to view current hours of operation Vist the Stowe Vermont Historical Society Website.

Stowe proudly hosts several special events during the year! Our exciting events include: New England's largest antique car rally, arts and crafts shows, balloon festival, the weekend-long annual British Invasion event, and summer productions from the Stowe Theater Guild, Hyde Park Opera House, and the Waterbury Festival Players.
